Why Choose The Salon Professional Academy?

What San Jose Students Are Saying

I recently graduated from this amazing school and I couldn't be happier that I was able to begin my cosmetology career here. Before coming here I toured a couple of other schools in the area that were disappointing to say the least. With little hope left I walked in the front door with no appt scheduled just hoping to get some information and while I was there someone from admissions came over and gave me a tour on the spot. I was definitely amazed by what the school had to offer. I made the decision to attend this school that night. A year and a half later I was able to call myself a TSPA graduate. At first I began as a part time night student and was able to switch to full time. Both programs are absolutely amazing! The educators here pour their hearts into everything they do and I can honestly say that they have all impacted my life in a positive way. And still whenever I need anything they are there. If you are looking to possibly become a cosmetologist or esthetician I urge you to give The Salon Professional Academy a try! You won't regret it!

-Marlise J

I graduated in November last year I was transferred from another beauty school and I can say I learned in two months (foundations) so much more than the other school in four months, TSPA has amazing teachers. I still miss them, in my opinion they just not train you to pass state board test you learn about everything and when they say they will train you for real life trust me they really mean it.

What kind of jobs can I get after graduating from TSPA Esthetics School?

An education at The Salon Professional Academy (TSPA) leads you to many fun and exciting career possibilities. Graduating from an esthetics school opens up various career opportunities in the skincare and beauty industry. Here are some potential jobs you could pursue.

  1. Esthetician: As a licensed esthetician, you can work in spas, salons, wellness centers, or dermatology clinics. Estheticians specialize in skincare treatments such as facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, and body treatments. They assess clients’ skin conditions and recommend appropriate skincare regimens.
  2. Medical Esthetician: Some estheticians choose to specialize in medical esthetics, working alongside dermatologists or plastic surgeons. They may perform advanced treatments or assist with pre and post-operative skin care for patients undergoing cosmetic procedures.
  3. Spa or Salon Manager: With experience, you could advance into a management role, overseeing the daily operations of spa, salon, or skincare clinic. Spa managers are responsible for staff supervision, scheduling, inventory management, customer service, and ensuring the facility meets regulatory standards.
  4. Retail Skincare Specialist: Many skincare brands hire estheticians to work as retail specialists or beauty advisors. In this role, you would educate customers about skincare products, recommend personalized skincare routines, and help them select products tailored to their skin type and concerns.
  5. Makeup/Wedding Artist: Estheticians often receive training in makeup application as part of their coursework. You could work as a makeup artist in various settings, including bridal boutiques, and beauty counters, or as a freelance artist for special events, photoshoots, or film and television productions.
  6. Education and Training: If you enjoy teaching, you could become an esthetics instructor at a beauty school or vocational institution. Esthetics educators train future estheticians, delivering classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and supervised practical training sessions.
  7. Product Development and Sales: Estheticians with a passion for skincare ingredients and formulations may pursue careers in product development or sales. You could work for skincare companies, assisting with product research and development, marketing, or sales initiatives targeting professionals or consumers.
  8. Medical Spa/Sales Coordinator: In a medical spa setting, you could work as a coordinator or liaison between clients and medical professionals. Responsibilities may include scheduling appointments, conducting consultations, explaining treatment options, and ensuring that clients receive personalized care throughout their visit.
  9. Wellness or Holistic Esthetician: Some estheticians specialize in holistic skincare practices or wellness-focused treatments, incorporating techniques such as aromatherapy, herbal remedies, or energy work into their services. They may work in alternative health centers, wellness retreats, or offer mobile services to clients seeking holistic skincare solutions.
  10. Beauty Blogger/Influencer: With the rise of social media, many skincare enthusiasts have built successful careers as bloggers or influencers. You could create content around beauty tips, tutorials, product reviews, and more, partnering with brands for sponsored content.
  11. Waxing Specialist: A waxing specialist, also known as a waxing technician or waxer, is a professional trained in the art of hair removal using waxing techniques. Their primary responsibility is to provide hair removal services to clients, typically using either soft wax (strip wax) or hard wax (no-strip wax) depending on the area being treated and the client’s preferences.

These are just a few examples, and there are many other niche areas and career paths within the esthetics industry to explore based on your interests, skills, and professional goals.
